Jack Nicholson's next movie project

Variety have just reported that Jack Nicholson's next project will be The Bucket List with studio details being finalised this week. The film will be directed by Rob Reiner (who previously directed Jack in A Few Good Men) and co-star Morgan Freeman.

Written by Justin Zackham, The Bucket List refers to a wish list that two terminally ill men try to fulfill before each kicks the bucket. After they break out of a cancer ward, they head off on a road trip with an itinerary that includes racing cars, eating giant plates of caviar and slinging poker chips in Monte Carlo.

The film will be produced by Craig Zadan, Neil Meron and Alan Greisman. Zackham will executive produce.

The film is eyeing an October production start, with deals and budget to be worked out once the studio has been locked in.

Exciting news! Although it is only brief synopsis, the story sounds really promising, one to look forward too! We will post any more news we hear on the project -- Sara

Hi Lucio,

I read in an interview with Richard Linklater about 2 weeks ago on IGN Filmforce that Jack and he have never even spoken about Last Flag Flying, a sequel to the Last Detail. Linklater has written a draft script but Jack Nicholson is not attached to the project and neither is Morgan Freeman. IMDB seem to have made an error. I think they got mixed up it seems a coincidence that Morgan Freeman and Jack are both attached to another film at this time - The Bucket list - so I would say it is just an innocent case of confused info :-) Sara
