The King of Marvin Gardens
I have finally had time to make screen caps of one of my favorite Jack Nicholson films - The King of Marvin Gardens. This film which was directed by Bob Rafelson followed closely on the heels of Five Easy Pieces and is loosely considered the second of a trilogy of films involving Rafelson and Jack that focussed on family dynamics. The photo gallery can be viewed by clicking here. The movie is available on DVD and if you haven't seen it, check it out if you can. It's a great movie! The Departed had a test screening in Chicago this week. The screening was of a rough draft sans soundtrack and a discussion was held at the end to garner feedback. Scorsese was present and will use the feedback and the reactions he felt around him during the screening to help him complete the editing/fine tuning process I guess! There were some impressions posted online by those lucky enough to be in attendance. They all contained spoilers so read at your own risk! the best of them (in terms of analysis, objectivity and detail) can be viewed here. Have a good weekend -- Sara
P.S You will notice there are some nice new banners on the site! The credit for these goes to Will who also designed the posters I added last week! We are very grateful for Will's help in improving the site!
