Jack and Lara?
Ooh la la. Jack Nicholson has been photographed holidaying in St Tropez with his former flame Ms Lara Flynn Boyle. The question all the gossip columns are now asking is, are they back together or are they "just friends"? I hope that whether they are or aren't an item, they are having a nice holiday and enjoying themselves, after all life is short! Thanks to Olya for the heads up on this news! Tom posted last week that The Departed Trailer would be shown with The Lady in the Water but the latest update on the trailer is that it has been removed from all of The Lady in the Water prints and will now go out with Miami Vice which opens next week. I am still checking regularly for the poster or production stills, but the marketing activity surrounding The Departed is getting off to a fairly slow start... but all good things come to those who wait!! -- Sara

I thought the photo was from 2000 - there are photos of the 2 of them from back then, on holiday on exactly the same boat and with Jack wearing the same shirt (he wore it in Something's Gotta Give too!) but he had black shorts on in those photos and I haven't been able to find the exact same photo from back then so this may be new, as Jack has definitely been out and about wearing that shirt again this week - it's a fave I guess!
So I don't know if it's an old photo or not, all the news agencies running this story say it's new... but it could be someone clever recycling a photo and making some money.
Certainly the gossip columns make it sound like they were on a little "romantic getaway" but you can see in the other photos that I have put up, that his family are with him and that Lorraine is in one of the photos. Personally I don't think this photo means a lot either way. It's probably just a media created fuss, but time will tell -- Sara

Whatever the truth is, this photo is definitely an old one from 2000. It ran in US WEEKLY back then, the same web site that started this new rumor. There's a shot of Jack in that very same outfit. Plus her face looks different now - puffy from fat injections.

Yeah I think it's an old photo too because dare I say it but I think Jack has lost a little more hair since 2000. Still Rocks though. Sara is right though all the news agencies are saying it's new, Fox has run it, the San Francisco Chronicle has run it, so I'm going to leave it up - because it is the "news" even if it's wrong - Tom
