Lorraine Nicholson in Click

Lorraine Nicholson will make a small appearance in Adam Sandler's new comedy Click, which is due to open June 23. Dustin Hoffman's son will also make an appearance, as will David Cassidy's daughter! If you get a chance to see the movie over the Summer, be sure to look out for Jack Nicholson's daughter Lorraine on screen here's a pic from the trailer and I'm sure like us, you all wish her well!

Latest Photos

I just added a couple of photos of Jack at the Clippers versus Suns Play-off game. Jack is a loyal Lakers fan but attended the game as a guest of Jim Brooks who directed him in Terms of Endearment and As Good As It Gets and is a regular guest of Jack's at Laker games. You can read Jack's comments about it here

Maxim Magazine put out their Living Legends of Sex list this week - read about it here - Jack was 7th on the list with 2000 conquests to his name (who keeps count?) and Englebert Humperdinck was at number 5 with 3000 notches on the bed-post leading us to draw the conclusion that a lot of people have humped engleberts dinck over the years. Sorry couldn't help it :-)

The Border Pics + funny Clip!

We have added screen caps from the movie Blood and Wine and also from the extras on the DVD to the photo section. Along with screen caps from The Border. With the current political debate around the immigration issue this little known film - The Border - is particularly relevant. It is a very good movie, it features great performances from Jack Nicholson and Harvey Keitel and it is an interesting story well told. It is a provocative piece, that asks the audience to do quite a lot of thinking and I can see why it would not have met with mainstream success but it's well worth checking out.

Also here's a clip of Jack from Oscar night that I've just found over at Dorks. It's way funny! Jack has the best sense of humor - he's da man!! Click Play - Tom

Blood and Wine DVD Extras!

Like many of you, I have always wished that I could see Jack Nicholson interviewed about his career, but because Jack doesn't do Talk Shows there hasn't been much in the way of video footage of 'Jack as Jack'. There are a few snippets of Jack being interviewed as part of Vivianne Kubrick's, Making of The Shining documentary, and a few minutes of Jack talking about Stanley Kubrick, were included in the Documentary Kubrick: A Life in Pictures. The Special Edition of Batman also included interview footage with Jack, talking about playing the Joker. However, to date, the most extensive interview footage with Jack Nicholson can be found on the extras for the Blood and Wine DVD, released in February of this Year. I have only just received this DVD because I waited for The Passenger to be released too, so that I could import them together (I'm cheap!). The extras on the Blood and Wine DVD make it a must own for any Jack Nicholson fan. There is a great little feature called Bob and Jack: A Life-long Dialogue, along with a number of 'making of' featurettes, scene specific commentary with Jack and more. Here's a small clip from the beginning of the Bob and Jack: A Life-Long Dialogue featurette and a clip of Jack talking about Michael Caine also from the extras, to play the clips you will need flashplayer 8. I can't recommend this DVD highly enough, it really has a great set of extras! View more DVD Info here.

P.S I have finally updated the latest photos gallery and also added the photo gallery from this years Oscars to the photo page. Have a great weekend. -- Sara

The Passenger Commentary

My copy of The Passenger DVD has finally arrived and I will write and post a detailed review for the site soon. I have made a clip of the first 7 minutes of the film with Jack Nicholson's commentary. Compressing the file has reduced the quality but be assured the DVD quality is excellent. If you haven't already, make sure you rent or buy this (you can click here to go to Amazon), and watch with an open mind. This is one of Jack Nicholson's greatest and least known performances. -- Sara

Reds!

The March edition of Vanity Fair included a feature on the Making of Reds by Peter Biskind. Jack Nicholson was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in Reds, as Eugene O'Neill, the famous American playwright. It was a truly brilliant performance! I have scanned the article click here to view. It's a great article but the best news was mentioned in a small paragraph on the author, in the contributors section of the magazine. It mentioned that Reds will finally be released on DVD this November! I checked the efilm critics ultimate DVD schedule and they are also showing Reds as due out this November. However, there has been no official word from Paramount as yet. So while I'm really hopeful this is going to happen - I don't want to make space on the crammed to bursting DVD shelf till I hear something from the Studio themselves, as there was word of a release in 2002 which sadly came to nada. Still Biskind is a very good source and as Reds came out in 1981 this year is the 25th anniversary, all good signs pointing to a DVD release I hope! -- Tom
